Bruce turns 40

June 25, 2005. Roasted pig, a margarita/pina colada machine, a chocolate fountain and more guests than were at our wedding. The weather was perfect, and the party worked great.

Why is there a pig in our bathtub?

Did we mention that we are vegetarian?

The yard was filled with decorations and food stations. 
 
 

A margarita machine is a marvelous thing. Dave looks happy.

There were a LOT of cars. Here's our cul-de-sac:

How many ten and eleven year olds does it take to lift a forty year old? 

It's a good thing we had professional help in the kitchen during the party. 

Tom's club passing is clearly not impressing the bookworm. 

Friends from high school were among the guests.

Unicyclists and coworkers were also invited, and one energetic unicyclist rode twenty miles to get to the party.

A roasted pig can get very thirsty. 

The hardcore stragglers started hitting the helium pretty heavily towards the end of the party.
 

Only Canadians and unicyclists stayed right to the end.
 

The chocolate fountain was still running the following afternoon.
